Hands reaching out to people in need . . .
Dear fellow Mustangs Northwest members,
2020 has been a challenging year for us all, and it isn’t letting up yet. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit us all hard, and with the latest lock down restrictions, more people than ever will be needing a helping hand.
Our club has also been hit hard with this pandemic, causing us to cancel almost all of our events and group meetings. The current restrictions placed on our population to slow the spread of the virus, has given us a very limited choice of club activities. One thing that we can do, is drive our cars.
So in the spirit of lending a helping hand, and driving our Mustangs, we have decided to have a Cruise for a Cause – and that cause is the Maltby Food Bank.
We will be having a cruise to help the Maltby Food Bank with donations of food or money to help those who will be having a very rough time as we near the holidays due to the restrictions placed on local businesses. Their employees are facing some real challenges due to closures and cutbacks.
Let’s help them by donating food or money to the Food Bank to lighten their load.
We have set the date of this event as Saturday, December 5th. We plan on forming up at the Mill Creek Shopping Center parking lot behind the Key Bank building (16202 Bothell Everett Hwy, Mill Creek, WA 98012) at 10:00 am. At 10:30 am we will drive as a group to the Food Bank. The Maltby Food Bank will be open just for us from 11:00-1:00.
Our route will be from Mill Creek via the Bothell-Everett Highway (527) south to Maltby Road (524). Turn left onto Maltby Road and continue to 86th Ave. SE. Turn left onto 86th Ave. SE and the Food Bank is a short distance on your left, just past the church.
You will be able to enter the lot and drive up to the door where you can drop off your donation onto a cart that the Food Bank personnel will wheel into the building. If you want to donate money, please place it in an envelope with MFB on it, and the check made out to “Maltby Food Bankâ€. You will then be able to park in one of the stalls in the lot if you choose so that we can have a mini car show. All social distancing protocols will be followed and everyone must wear a mask – no exceptions!

Let’s make this one special and I encourage all who can attend to do so. If the weather isn’t conducive to driving your pride and joy, then bring your daily driver – but – just show up! People need our help – so let’s do it!
